DEAD FUN
Serious youth violence is a major issue that has personally impacted many members of our community. We have seen many films that approach this subject, but find they often take similar approaches (criminality/gangs leading to violence) and often don’t explore the connection with young men’s mental health.
DEAD FUN is our response - a unique approach exploring the mindset of young men surrounded by glorified violence, gamification, numbness to young Black death and casual misogyny/violence against women. By the end, we want viewers to face uncomfortable questions on why they may have found it “dead fun”.
